essays, letters, etc. The Chem Club News (CCN)
should be a vehicle for exchange of
communication of interest. Do you have an
issue or concern at your school? Do you have a
lesson to share? Please send your comments,
articles, etc. to the editor. Email:

Meadow, NY 11554. Submissions may not be
anonymous, but names may be withheld at the
author’s request.
Remember, this is your club. Members do all
work voluntarily. If you want to see something
different, step up and help make it happen.

21 April 2017: “Demo Derby II,” an evening of
non-stop demonstrations by the attendees (5-8
minutes per presenter, max.). The room no
longer has a sink, water or gas service. You are
responsible for observation of appropriate
safety procedures and cleanup.
19 May 2017: Dr. Americo J. Fraboni,
Department of Chemistry, Temple U.,
Philadelphia, PA. The development of
carolacton-derived macrolactones for the
perturbation of bacterial biofilms.
